The final philosophical clip. The Snow Queen stands atop an ice palace at night. A huge northern lights move above her. The camera slowly approaches her chest, seeming to penetrate: instead of a typical heart, the viewer sees an endless winter world—ice mountains, falling snow, and a small, lonely light in the very center. The light tries to flare up, but each time it is covered by snow. Then the image of Gerda, Kai, roses, sunlight appears—not as real people, but as distant memories of what the Queen rejected. She opens her eyes. For the first time, it is not cold that appears in them, but fear: the fear of feeling again. The camera zooms out. The enormous Snow Queen becomes a small figure in an endless white space. The last shot is a tiny crack in her icy heart, from which a soft golden light shines. Not to show the final “healing”: to leave the feeling that feeling can still exist behind the cold. An epic, melancholic, visually rich fantasy, slow cinema, volumetric light, realistic ice and snow, and an emotional ending without words.
