Central focus is a disheveled bespectacled young man, hanging onto a pole lost in thought. His alienated, tired face fills the frame. Suddenly, tram sounds are interrupted by powerful guitar riffs. Camera abruptly shifts to a band performing in the same tram depot or derelict industrial hall. The vocalist belts out song lyrics with fury. Editing alternates rapidly between scenes: the intellectual's face in the crowd, disdainful glances from other passengers, energetic band performances. Sharp zooms, handheld camera, neon and spotlight contrast lighting. Narrative progresses. Camera drifts sharply from the man's face to his inner monologue, visualized as quick, anxious flashes: empty fridge, utility bill, phone screen with a call from the boss. In the tram, he catches the piercing, appraising stare of a drunk man in a crumpled jacket - seemingly reading his thoughts about "a thousand". The gaze turns into a smug smirk. Meanwhile, the stage rhythm grows more aggressive. Camera makes a swift flyover above the vocalist's eyes rolling, shouting the next lines.
