To the left, the red fox, which has been observing the bear, is startled. Its ears prick back, and it recoils slightly, stepping back with wide eyes and a look of pure bewilderment as the massive, tumbling bear comes sliding along the path directly towards it. The fox remains a startled observer, frozen at a safe distance.
