A family inherits an old painting of a strange man. They hang it in the living room. At first, nothing unusual happens, but then the man in the painting begins to subtly change — his eyes follow them around the room. At night, the family hears scratching noises coming from the frame. One of them dares to remove the painting from the wall, only to find strange, cryptic symbols carved into the back of the canvas. As they uncover the markings, they realize that the man in the painting has never been human, and his presence is tied to a dark, ancient curse.
